Sorry, this item has sold.

Tura is a legendary manufacturer based in the USA. As one of the first ones, Tura imagined eyewear as a fashion accessory rather than a medical remedy, creating lines that would match different styles and outfits.

In the 1960s, Tura was the first eyewear producer to licence a high fashion house, creating amazing sunglasses for Christian Dior. The resulting collection remains not only historic, but one of the most creative, bold and beautiful collaborations to this day. With the huge business risk he took at the time, Monroe B. Levoy, the creator of Tura, turned «eyeglasses» into «eyewear».

Of all the masterpieces that came out of this collaboration, the silver metal 681 is one of the boldest and recognizable frames. An absolutely unique geometry with triple nosebridge and spotlight shaped rings. Impressively handcrafted curves and angles with an amount of precision and detail that it will take days to enjoy. It's difficult to look at the sun when you can admire this frame instead.

Made in the USA in 1971. Frame in very good vintage condition. Right nose pad has some verdigris on the inside, but this is not visible when worn and does not affect wearability. The ear pieces show some patina, but this is also not visible when worn. Both ear pieces and nose pads could be replaced, but i preferred to keep the originals. Although these small flaws are not visible when worn and only add to the charm, they have been reflected on the price.

Lenses: Brand new custom blue to turquoise gradient with 100% UV protection.

Average:

These glasses are beautiful, possibly the sweetest lens color i've ever seen! The only issue for me is the nose bar is a little low so they sat high on my face, and regretfully i ended up returning them. But beautiful still, and women can often pull off the different looks. This seller is great as well. Thanks!
