Yes, the ABC Lines 7010 is very strongly inspired by the Fred America Cup. But oddly enough, instead of merely being a high quality bxxtleg, it even adds a little extra to the original: While the America Cup can be too wide and flat for certain faces, the slightly more compact curves and angles of the 7010 make it easier on the face and more pleasant to wear than the America Cup. The craftsmanship is absolutely breathtaking and the quality of the frame doesn't shy any comparison with the America Cup, while the 22k gold plated 7010 is much more affordable. The 7010 remains one of the classiest frames produced by Hilton under their house brand ABC lines.
Hilton eyewear rose to success shortly after luxury jewelers like Cartier and Fred established themselves in the eyewear market. Hilton started producing high quality gold plated sunglasses and frames that were often heavily inspired by their competitors. Due to the originality and very high production standard of their designs, Hilton soon gained a cult following amongst the Hip Hop community. Especially their bootleg versions of classic Fred and Cartier designs are highly appreciated to this day. Hilton still exists today and established themselves as distributors of luxury eyewear brands like Boucheron, Burberry and Mont Blanc.
