For the short period of the company’s existence in the 1980s, Casanova’s styles and production methods were absolutely out of the ordinary. To produce such beautiful eyewear, it takes significant time and the consideration of talented hands. After a hiatus of more than 30 years, the company is now back on the market and is offering this very same vintage piece for $7000: https://www.casanovaeyewear.com/product-page/archie-7
This Casanova Arché 4 model is number 153 of 500 pieces ever produced, the number is engraved on the back of the nosebridge.
Of all the incredible Casanova creations of their most prolific era in the 1980s, the Arché 5 remains not only the most wearable. It is also one of the most complicated to manufacture. The 24k gold plated frame is complemented by elements made from jewelery grade enamel closinet. It would be impossible to reproduce or even finance nowadays and remains one of the most exceptional designs of that era. This frame is highly wearable, a sculpture and a piece of art, one of Casanova’s creative masterpieces. it has never been worn and is in flawless condition.
Made in Italy in the 1980s
New unworn deadstock, frame in perfect condition. Including genuine leather case made in Italy.
Original demo lenses with Casanova logo show the usual light scratches from storage. The frame can still be worn with those lenses, but I recommend fitting the frame with your choice of prescription or tinted lenses.
Size large, will also fit medium (50*20)
Front width from temple to temple: 140mm / 5.5 inches
Temple length: 140mm
