The extremely rare red Cazal 903, perfectly complemented with the legendary 903 lens insert fitted with gold mirror lenses. One of the most iconic designs by Cari Zalloni. The shield lens is held together by pins at the bottom and a bar with a Cazal logo pill on the top. An instant classic that has embellished the faces of style icons for decades. As worn by Rick Ross, Will.I.Am, Jamiroquai and many others throughout the last 30 years.
In the 1980s and 1990s, eyewear was definitely transforming from a functional visual aid to a fashion accessory, and the creations were as loud and oversized as possible. In the 2000s, the opulent frames were gradually replaced by discreet rimless models and less obtrusive shield sunglasses. Often all that remained of the actual frame were the temples and nose bridge. However, the first shield sunglasses were created in the 1980s and were anything but invisible. The Cazal 903 stands out from the crowd in terms of both design and dimensions. Affectionately called "the surfboard" by Cazal collectors, the outer shape is actually closer to a snowboard or skateboard and covers half the face. The special thing about the 903 is that it could also be used as presciption glasses thanks to a corrective lens insert. This concept was later adapted by Oakley for the M-Frame sports goggles and became very popular with cycling fans.

Frame and lenses in perfect condition, new old stock, all inner temple markings intact. Original Cazal 903 lens insert shows few signs of age, there is a small chip on the right upper corner of the left lens, see photos. While these minor flaws in the insert do not affect wearability and are not visible when worn, they have been reflected on the price.
