Jean-Paul GAULTIER 56 - 0272 Tour Eiffel Vintage Sunglasses New Unworn Deadstock

Made in Japan in the 1980s

One of the most iconic pieces by Jean Paul Gaultier, and definitely the easiest to wear. Inspired by the intricate construction of the Eiffel Tower. Very rare brown marble edition of the legendary 56 - 0272. Incredible lense shape, fits perfectly on any face.

Jean-Paul Gaultier was at the avant-garde of eyewear design in the 1980's. Although Japan was by far the most expensive place of production for eyewear frames at that time, Gaultier did not want to settle with anything less than the best craftsmanship for his sunglasses. Unlike most other designers, he did not license his brand to a big eyewear manufacturer but instead kept a minute supervision of the design and production of his sunglasses by Murai Japan.

Lens Color: Brown UV400 Protection.

Frame Color: Black/Brown marble acetate, Gunmetal Grey

Including FPOS hardcase
